The California Science Center is located in Exposition Park in the heart of Los Angeles. It includes a variety of amazing exhibits that you can enjoy for free, and this kit includes their paid special exhibit (which changes periodically), an IMAX educational show, and entrance to the Endeavor wing with a real life shuttle that has been to space!
Students will love the walk-through tunnel in the aquarium, the hands-on experiences, and all of their many artifacts from human space exploration. The Museum is in the same are of the Park as the Natural History Museum, but both of these locations can easily take an entire day. You can decide if you’d like to do both in one day or take two.
There are parking lots around the Park, with one dedicated for the Science Center. Parking is not free, so be sure to bring money for parking. Outside food is allowed, but they also have an eatery with great options for those who would prefer that. The Park itself is a beautiful place to walk around, so plan for a full day even if you don’t spend the whole day in the Museum. There’s lots to see!
