The Bay Area Discovery Museum is a fantastic, mostly outdoor, 7.5 acre tactile adventure! Students of all ages can find wonderful things to explore, though the museum does cater more towards younger students. With a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge, enjoy a picnic while your students learn through play.
Parking is free in their large lot. If you don’t live in the vicinity, you’ll want to make sure you have cash on hand for one of the many bridges that lead to the area. Outside food is allowed, but they also have a small eatery if you’d like to buy your food on site.
Because the majority of this museum is outdoors, be sure to plan for weather. It can be cold and windy in that area of the Bay. But don’t let that stop you! Dress for the weather you’ll have, and enjoy your day playing and learning with your students!
